You will stop at a local market on the way where you can indulge in a local breakfast or pick up a Thai to fuel your day. On arrival you will be greeted by members of the Karen Hill Tribe, who will give you traditional clothes to wear. You will be provided with fruit and vegetables to feed the elephants. Your guide will educate you on each of the elephants, the history of the park and the ethical landscape. Then you will embark into the jungle for a shaded walk in the elephants habitat. Afterwards a freshly prepared, delicious home cooked meal will be given to you for lunch. You will have the opportunity to take the elephants to indulge in a mud spa, which is good for their skin and helps them to regulate their body temperature, and then walk with the elephants down to the river where you can swim and bathe with the elephants as you both cool off during the afternoon heat. Following this, your guide will take you to visit the local Karen village where you can glimpse into their daily lives, visit their homes and gain an understanding of the Karen people. At the end of the day, you will be dropped off at your accommodation at approximately 16:30pm.
Throughout the whole tour your guide can provide high quality photography so that you can fully focus on enjoying your time with the elephants.
